TO: Undergraduate ChBE
Students
Prof. Martha Grover, Prof.
Lakeshia Taite and I are in need of 3-4 undergraduate researchers to work
part time during SUMMER TERM, 2012 on two very interesting projects. One
involves understanding the chemical origins of life, and specifically, the role
played by polymeric biomolecules. The other involves developing polymer
structures for drug delivery.
Students accepted for this project
should be Juniors or Seniors in ChBE with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Students
will be expected to spend approximately 10 hours per week on the project, and
will be paid at the rate of $10 per hour. Continuation into the Fall is
possible, as is beginning work during the Spring. Students will be expected to
present their work at on-campus and off-campus colloquia. There is every
expectation that the students will be contributing authors on peer-reviewed
publications.
Students wishing to work for
technical elective credit rather than money are also welcome to apply.
Anyone wishing to be considered
should email me by 5 PM FRIDAY, MARCH 16. Please include a resume.
