The Summer and Fall schedules are now viewable in Banner, which means registration is just around the corner. The registration time tickets for Summer and Fall 2013 will be posted on Friday, March 29, so make sure you are aware of when your registration opens. If you have not reviewed your degree audit in Degreeworks, it's time to do that and make decisions about your class schedules for the next two semesters. Phase I Registration windows open on Monday, April 1 and are assigned based upon earned credit hours; Phase I registration closes on Friday, April 26 at 4:00 p.m.
For students currently enrolled in CHBE 2100, you must complete an appointment with your faculty mentor by March 25 or a HOLD will be placed on your account preventing registration until this is completed.
For students currently enrolled in CHBE 2130, you must complete an appointment with an academic advisor (Dr. Agrawal or me) by March 25 or a HOLD will be placed on your account preventing registration until this is completed. Students with mandatory advising holds are required to schedule an appointment and will not be seen as walk ins.
APPOINTMENTS
Contrary
to popular belief, if you need to speak with an advisor, it is always
best to schedule an appointment. Students who wait until the last minute (and yes, the week before registration is considered last minute) to meet with an advisor will find that appointment calendars are booked up to two weeks in advance. For most issues, a two-week wait fort an appointment will not be life-altering, and the time you spend
with your advisor will be more productive and helpful. Consider your
situation and check my appointment calendar. Appointments are scheduled Monday-Thursday,
9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.-5:00
p.m. Appointment times are 30
minutes.
WALK IN HOURS
Walk in hours are for
quick advising or scheduling questions, but remember, first come, first served, so you may have to wait your turn! During registration (April 1-April 26) CHBE will offer undergraduate WALK IN WEDNESDAY from 9:30-12:30 and 2:00-5:00 on April 3, April 10, April 17, and April 24. Walk in hours will also be available on FRIDAYS from 9:30-12:00 noon.·
EMAIL ADVISING
If
you are pretty confident about your academic plans but just want some
feedback you can ask for input via email. Please keep in mind that I will
respond to your messages in between appointments and walk ins, so
during peak advising times, it may take a couple days to
respond....advising isn't instant messaging!
