Academic Success Workshop

The Center for Academic Success is offering its first summer Academic Success workshop next Tuesday.  The workshop includes tips and strategies, as well as resources and hands-on activities, to help students set and achieve their academic goals for this summer.  All undergraduates are encouraged to attend, but this should be especially helpful to students who want to really focus on trying some new strategies to do well academically this summer.

Last day to apply without a fee for Fall 2012 graduation using the Online Application for Graduation (applying after the 15th will incur a $50 late fee)

June 30th
Last day to apply for Fall 2012 graduation using the Online Application for Graduation.

Summer Degree Audits Complete:

Please check DegreeWorks and your email to make sure you do not have anything from our office regarding degree audits for this summer.  Make sure to look all the way at the bottom of DegreeWorks for notes placed by our office if you think you are missing something.  If you believe something is not correct, contact the advising office immediately!

Summer Research Opportunity

Please see the following concerning a summer research opening in the Kawajiri group:

Kawajiri research group is looking for an undergraduate researcher in the Summer Semester. The student will utilize many of the techniques covered in this course. If you are interested, please send your (1) resume and (2) expected graduate date to Jason Bentley (jason.bentley@chbe.gatech.edu) and set up an appointment with him to discuss your interest.

Project: Experimental study of simulated moving bed chromatography
The Kawajiri research group specializes in modeling, process design, optimization, and bioseparations (chromatography). In this project, the student will develop a mathematical model that describes SMB chromatography. The student must be interested in mathematical modeling of separation processes.
Eligibility:
 1. Completed or currently taking CHBE 2120 Numerical Methods.
 2. GPA at Georgia Tech > 3.40.
 3. Interested in pursuing this project for credits in Summer 2012.

Graduating Seniors


Graduating in 2012? Have friends graduating in 2012?  You don't want to miss Ramblin' On, Tech's only all campus graduation party hosted by the Georgia Tech Alumni Association and Student Alumni Association.  Ramblin' On is April 27th from 6-8:30 p.m. on Tech Tower Lawn.  All students graduating in May, August and December 2012 are invited to the party for FREE.
