Imperial Sugar Company is looking for two
Sophomore/Junior chemical or mechanical engineering students from Tech to
intern this summer. It was a great
experience for me because each intern is assigned a mentor (I learned so much
from mine) and a project that involves a lot of hand-on experience in the
refinery. I worked on optimizing their enzyme usage and spent a lot of time in
both the refinery and the laboratory. The company culture is very welcoming and
everyone is eager to tell you about the process - I had a fun summer working at
the refinery and living right outside Savannah. The pay is great AND they pay
all your travelling expenses and accommodations. If anyone is interested they
