This is just a quick reminder to all seniors graduating in the Spring 2011 semester that degree petitions are due in the main ChBE office by 5:00 this Friday.
Please have you packets filled out fully and remember to include a photo. The photo can be something simple and is kept here in your file at ChBE in case it need be used as a reference to identify you in the future.
A few quick tips for DegreeWorks:
As long as you have CHEM 1211k, 1212k, 1310, 1311, 1312, or any combination thereof, you are ok with your general Chemistrys. (Inorganic included)
DegreeWorks will never pull up a 4803 class as your ChBE elective. This is the designation for a special topics course and we have to notify the registrar that it will count.
BIOTECH MAJORS
If you plan to use undergraduate research as your biotech elective, you MUST submit an abstract to Dr. Pradeep Agrawal to be approved. The research has to be specific to the biotech area or you will not be able to use it toward the biotech elective.
Georgia Tech’s School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering was established in 1901, making it one of the first chemical engineering programs in the country. With 800 undergraduates, 200 graduate students, and more than 40 full-time faculty members, it is also one of the largest. The College of Engineering at Georgia Tech consistently ranks among the top five engineering colleges in the country.
