The ChBE Student Advisory Board (SAB) is comprised of 12 to 16 undergraduate students who meet every two weeks to identify issues relevant to the ChBE students and to develop and implement solutions. As a result of feedback received through town halls and on-line surveys, some of the initiatives of the SAB have included:
- ChBE bookcart in the computer cluster area,
- Web-based course scheduler,
- Advisement to underclassmen on class planning etc.
The SAB also hosts events, such as the Dead Week Coffee and Donuts Social. The SAB distributes a weekly newsletter to the students that summarizes the upcoming activities, including job openings and industrial visits to the campus.
The ChBE SAB will have 5-7 openings for the 2013-14 year due to several members graduating this year. If you would like to be considered for serving on the SAB, please request an application from Louisa Allouache, lallouache3@gatech.edu. The deadline for returning the completed application along with a resume is midnight on
February 24th, 2013.
