Undergraduate Research opportunity

Prof. Martha Grover, Prof. Lakeshia Taite  and Prof. Joseph Schork are in need of 1-2 undergraduate researchers during Spring 2013 on two very interesting projects.  One involves understanding the chemical origins of life, and specifically, the role played by polymeric biomolecules.  The other involves developing polymer structures for drug delivery.

Students accepted for these projects should be Juniors or Seniors in ChBE with a minimum GPA of 3.5.  Students will be expected to spend approximately 10 hours per week on the project, and will earn 3 hours of academic credit for Undergraduate Research, which can be applied as a Technical Elective.  Students will be expected to present their work at on-campus and off-campus colloquia.  There is every expectation that the students will be contributing authors on peer-reviewed publications.

If you qualify and are interested, please contact Prof. Schork at joseph.schork@chbe.gatech.edu by January 8, 2013.
