TO: Undergraduate ChBE Students
Dr. Martha Grover and I are in need of 2-3 undergraduate researcher to work as part of a campus-wide research effort into the origins of life. Our contribution to this effort will be to apply the tools of chemical reactor engineering (experimental and mathematical modeling) to problems related to how life originated on Earth.
Students accepted for this project should be Juniors or Seniors in ChBE with a minimum GPA of 3.5. A stipend of approximately $1,500 will be provided. The expectation is for about 10 hours of work on the project, per week for the rest of the semester. Continuation into Spring Semester is possible. Students will be expected to present their work at on-campus and off-campus colloquia. There is every expectation that the students will be contributing authors on peer-reviewed publications.
