Please come to an ExxonMobil Success seminar entitled "International Programs for ChBE Undergraduates" on Thursday, October 13 from 11:00-12:00 in EST Room L1255 (auditorium).
Dr. Agrawal, Dr. Walton, Dr.
Fuller and Dr. Allen will be presenting this seminar. Dr. Fuller
will be the instructor for the Georgia Tech Lorraine (GTL) Program in Metz,
France during Summer 2010 and will be providing an overview of the program.
During Summer 2012, ChBE 3110 (Thermo II) and ChBE 3200 (Transport I) will be
offered at Georgia Tech Lorraine. In addition to these courses, there is
also the possibility of taking additional Georgia Tech technical, humanities
and social science electives.
Dr. Walton will discuss the program at the
Imperial College of London offered during Summer 2012. In addition to
receiving six credit hours for ChBE 4200/4210 and ChBE 4803 (Technical or ChBE
Elective), this four-week program includes opportunities for students to
participate in cultural events and sightseeing. Finally, Dr. Allen will
provide a preview of a new international option to take ChBE 4520 (Design) at
KAIST University in Korea which will begin either in 2012 or 2013.
This presentation will be beneficial for students considering international study for Summer 2012 as well as for students who may be interested in these programs for future summers. Information will also be provided regarding financial aid and merit based scholarships available for these study abroad programs.
Lunch will be served following the presentation in the EST lower level atrium. I hope you will be able to join us this Thursday.
